CrossFit is group training.  We provide a structured workout program that includes coaches in every class.  We start each class with an organized dynamic warm up to prepare you for the upcoming workout.  We will review any necessary movements.  Everyone will start the workout together and then finish at their own speed.  The coaches do not do the workout with you, they are there to keep you safe, give you some encouragement, and push you  just a little harder than you think you can go.  We promote a positive and encouraging workout environment.  You don’t have to worry about being yelled at or talked down to.  You can expect the class to be 1 hour long from start to finish.

STEP 1: come in FOR A FREE CLASS

If you’re new to CrossFit come and try a free class with us!  All you need to do is sign in and complete this basic info beforehand, dress in comfortable workout clothes, and bring some water.  We will take care of the rest!  There is no need to schedule your first visit.  

STEP 2: JOIN ON RAMP

This is our beginner’s class. On Ramp is 3 free personal (one-on-one) training sessions.  In these classes we will expose you to our movement curriculum by teaching you the proper form and technique you will need to stay safe and prepare you to hit the WODs hard!  These sessions also allow us to get a better understanding of who you are and where your abilities lie.  If you have experience with CrossFit you can test out of these classes with a coach.  You must complete all three classes once you join and before you join the normal group classes.  Once you have complete the sessions, you will be able to attend any normal class.

STEP 3: PICK A PROGRAM

CROSSFIT

This program will prepare you for whatever life throws your way, whether it be a weekend sport, high school athletics, helping your neighbor move, or simply keeping up with your kids. This class will guide you in achieving a lifetime of all round fitness, it is for anyone who wants to improve their endurance, get healthier, stronger, and more agile!  You can expect a fun and challenging workout program that includes a variety of lifting, running, jumping, kettlebells, and bodyweight movements.  You will get your heart rate up and sweat in every class! 

WOMEN'S ONLY

Have you always wanted to try CrossFit but find the environment intimidating?  Or maybe you were once in great shape, but your priorities switched over to starting a family or career over your own health.  Whatever the reason, don’t let that hold you back any longer.  We adamantly believe that anyone can do CrossFit.  Our women’s only program provides a welcoming and nonthreatening environment for women of all abilities to experience the empowerment of CrossFit and explore their athletic potential.  On ramp is not required for women's only class.  Childcare is available during the Women's Only Workout. 

PERSONAL TRAINING

If you feel like you need a more personalized approach to your training, then personal training is what you need!  We work with individuals at all levels from the severely deconditioned to the elite athlete looking for an edge.  We can work with people on an ongoing basis as well as just a single class to fine tune skills and technique of movements. KIDS PROGRAMS

KIDS & TEENS

Our mission with CFUV Kids is simple: to help shape your child’s lifelong definition of health and fitness by pairing working-out and fun so that they will build habits to last a lifetime. While fun and games are important, helping your child to move better is our goal. We will introduce them to proper technique in weightlifting as well as everyday functional movements. CrossFit UV Kids will develop your child’s ten general physical skills: Cardio-respiratory endurance, Power, Strength, Stamina, Speed, Agility, Flexibility, Balance, Accuracy, and Coordination. We combine parts of gymnastics, bodyweight movements, running and weightlifting. Gymnastics will aid your child’s development by involving the vestibular system. Weightlifting will aid bone density development and take advantage of the window of opportunity for peak development in both children and teens. At the same time we will be increasing their strength and self confidence. Nutrition will be discussed and good food choices encouraged, but parental support in this area is KEY!
