Megan is a faithful member of our Women's Class. She also has been coming with her husband, Steve, to the Saturday 9am class. Megan has an infectious smile, and such a great attitude, and I am so glad to know her!
I am from Mesa, Arizona. We moved here almost 6 years ago so that my husband could go back to school. I have 5 children, 4 girls and 1 boy. I am a stay at home mom. I started CrossFit 2 and a half years ago after I had my son.
I was hesitant to start it because it sounded super hard and I didn't want to bulk up. I wanted to loose baby weight. But I decided to try it for a few months to drop some baby weight, but a few months has turned into almost 3 years! I love it. I had another baby while doing CrossFit and it was one of my easier pregnancies and recoveries. I love the challenge of CrossFit. I love that I don't have to think about my workout. I just show up, the workout is already made up and there is a coach there to push me.
I also really enjoy the community and the friends I have made at CrossFit Utah Valleyt. I attend the women's class and I love being surrounded by other women who are there for the same reason as me. Those women are great and have become good friends.
My favorite movements are deadlift, farmer carries, tire flips. I like the strength workouts. I really dislike running. I feel like that is the one thing I have not gotten better at. I want to continually grow at CrossFit. I love seeing improvements and I hope to keep progressing. I have a long way to go after 5 kids and I hope to keep doing CrossFit for a very long time, it's my sanity in my day to day life.
